Barriers vs. Blessings

March 17, 2020

Word of the day: 37 Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last. 38 And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. 39 When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!” Mark 15:37-39 NLT

There are barriers between people that are non-believers and Jesus. That is because most people do not believe what Jesus can do. Non-believers look at the work of Jesus as miracles but do not want to consider that Jesus is the reason for a lot of miracles. It is called blessings for those that do not believe. And blessings are something we don’t deserve based on our behavior, but still, receive unconditional love. The Roman officer faced him and saw how he died; he said that he is the true Son of God. Does it take that long to realize that? Are you waiting for a miracle to happen for you to understand that Jesus is the person that controls everything? Believe now and not later that he is the answer to everything.
Father, thank you for your love. Without you, losing is an understatement without your love. Please help us to point people to you before it is too late. You are the answer to everything. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
