Remember Bad Times

April 1, 2020

Word of the day: 2 Remember how the Lord your God led you in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. Deuteronomy 8:2 NIV

We can quickly reflect on bad situations and then wonder if it could have been something positive. Today, take time to think of those negative situations. What do you believe God is telling you now based on those negative situations? Doing this can help you be humbled and allow yourself wisdom for similar problems in the future. There is nothing wrong with taking your wicked problems and reflecting off them. Think about sports teams or entrepreneurs. When does a sports player want to get better, besides building themselves up better physically, what another way to do they improve? They look at bad games to improve on. Entrepreneurs are the same way; they reflect on their bad decisions and build on them. In our lives, we should take time to reflect and see what God is telling us about these situations we can grow.

Father, thank you for today. I pray for our past situations that we can reflect and listen to them. I pray for wisdom and love. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
