Deserted

April 23, 2020

Word of the day: 3 For a long time now—to this very day—you have not deserted your fellow Israelites but have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you. Joshua 22:3 NIV

Let’s talk about deserted. Do you have any stories? Think about your situations and how you grew from that. In today’s verse, to me, talk about a group of people being there for each other to make sure God’s work carried out. By our sins, addictions, the love of different things other than God, he is deserted every single day. Let’s be helpful to others. It’s not fun being on your own. We do not live life alone; we live it together. If we live life on our own, we will be in our separate world without others. God has more to be upset about being deserted. Learn how to keep God and follow him.

Father, thank you for today. I pray for people that are alone that are suffering and that never learned from being deserted. I ask you will be with them and let the right people be there to help them through hard times. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
