Word of the Day: 34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you unexpectedly. Luke 21:34 NKJV
Today’s verse is a good reminder to remain fit in our spiritual journey. When we let carousing, drunkenness, and care of life interfere with our mission, we are not watching for Christ comeback. We all have worries and a false sense of security. Being distracted by worldly things or not engaging with the word every day won’t allow us to be free to watch and be aware of Christ coming. Christ is giving us time for others to start following him. That is the delay in him coming back. Otherwise, he could have come back years ago. If you are ready for Christ’s return, you are not hypocritical but sincere, not fearful, but prepared to witness. We are not worried but trusting, not greedy but generous, not lazy, but diligent. His coming will remain a mystery. So we have to prepare ourselves for his comeback. The goal here is to get as many back to Christ as we can before he comes.
Father, thank you for today. I pray we prepare for your comeback, but not be afraid. Wisdom is the key to this by continuing to be in the word. It is our guiding star. Our loved one who doesn’t believe still have many chances to get to you, and I pray we can use that to get them to you. Thank you for our fellowship. We love you. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
