Praise Jesus

May 30, 2020

Word of the day: 32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32 NIV

Meditation: Take a moment and think about a time where God showed up right on time. How did you praise him?

Discussion Board: Mary fell at Jesus’ feet when she praised him for bringing her brother back to life. Jesus’ perfect timing shows how good he is at our plans for our life. Jesus’ plans for us shouldn’t have any doubt. Sometimes we don’t have the words to praise Jesus for what he does for us. I am sure Mary felt that way because she admired him at his feet and said a few words. We should remember when Jesus does things on his timing, we shouldn’t have any what-if scenarios. Let us have thankful moments of celebrations and praise.

Takeaway: Be thankful for what Jesus does for you. Praise and celebrate for the love Jesus has for you. What are your takeaways?

Prayer: Father, thank you for our fellowship. Thank you for your love for us in your timing. We praise and love you for all you do. Thank you for your passion. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
