Your Foundation

June 2, 2020

Word of the day: 2 Your love has always been our lives’ foundation, your fidelity has been the roof over our world. Psalm 89:2 MSG

Meditation: Take a moment and think of your house foundation. What holds it up? How can you make the relatable foundation on your life with God building you up?

Discussion Board: How is your foundation with God? He built us for a reason. His love is our foundation. How do you keep your foundation secure in the name of God? God is my roof because he can protect me from things I can’t defend myself from unless he gives me instructions. My foundation is love, such as serving, giving, and love. God protects us all from harm, which is the broader point. God wins from all evil. It is up to us to have patience and continue to have a healthy foundation in our lives. It is not hard for satan to come in and knock down your foundation. Everything will crumble before you. Stick with God so he can keep your roof and foundation secure.

Takeaway: Your foundation God created for you to keep up. Ask for help when you need it. Evil is around us. We can’t do this by ourselves. Keeping up your foundation will help you be secure. What are your takeaways?

Prayer: Father, thank you for today. I pray for our foundation. Our homes and our foundation have to stay healthy. It is incredible how quickly the foundation can come crumbling down if we can’t keep up with it because of evil and not taking care of our foundation. I pray we can come to you and stick with you. Thank you for your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
