The Truth and The Father

June 4, 2020

Word of the day: 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 NKJV

Meditation: When Jesus tells us he is the way and the truth, how do you abide by him? How are you faithful to get to the Father?

Discussion Board: Has anyone told you this is impossible or too small of a window to get to the Father? It is tiny. But the good news is there is a way to get to the Father through Jesus. It takes our dedication to him. You have to believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose on the 3rd day. He is the truth. The Bible is the truth. Nothing else stands in the way between you and Father except Jesus, and you must believe him to get to the Father for eternal life. I hear a lot about a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You can’t flock with Jesus. That includes hiding your sins, hiding your feelings, anything that is against God’s teaching. Jesus’ role in helping us out of those feelings if we let him inside our hearts. Jesus has power over life and death because he is the creator, which is essential to remember that he is the way to our Father.

Takeaway: Jesus is our truth. The Bible is our truth. What stands in the way between you and Jesus? What are your takeaways?

Prayer: Father, thank you for today. I pray for the truth to be out about you. We don’t give ourselves enough encouragement to follow you and believe in you. We know you are the truth and the only way to the Father, but there are obstacles in the way that I ask for you to remove for us. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
