Word of the day: 7 Jehoshaphat said, Is there not another prophet of the Lord here whom we may ask? 1 Kings 22:7 AMPC

Discussion Board: Jehoshaphat knew the difference between pagan prophets and God’s prophets. Pagan prophets are believers who take religion into a different turn of events. These types of prophets will make it seem like they believe in world religion and talk about God’s laws, but they do things differently. In this verse, Jehoshaphat demanded that he speaks to someone that is a real prophet. As Christians, we should be able to recognize real from fake. If you are not sure, do your homework. There are a lot of false prophets out there willing to share their list of thoughts. These people can be leaders, co-workers, government, law enforcement, anybody. Please do your homework to know how to approach them when they try to sell your soul to them.

Prayer: Father, I pray that we step in your light. You provide over us when we have to address or understand false prophets. Please give us the wisdom to see through them and know your policies. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

My name is Darren. I started sharing devotions in June 2019. As one of the ministry leaders at my church. One reason why I started devotions is because of the lack of inspiration and motivation in our lives. It is hard to be encouraged with a lot of negativity going around. I invite you to be encouraged by the word of God. Our struggles can be personal, at the workplace, and the lack of community in our lives. When we go through hard times, we need the word of God. Please read them and be encouraged. I also started a podcast talking about racism and discrimination. Please take a moment to check that out as well. Afternoon Coffee Break with Darren Watts.
