Depending on “Me” questions versus “How Can I Depend on God.”

This is my first devotional I wrote to two of my employees I work with. I documented my devotionals since this day Friday June 21, 2019.

Good morning!

Before today’s meeting, I read my daily devotional. Today’s word comes from John 9:3 -NLT

So the power of God could be seen in him.

In short breakdown, we all suffer and wonder why certain things happen to us. We always ask the question, why me? Another question we always ask God is “I’m living an innocent life, what did I do to deserve this?” I ask God all the time, “Why is it I have to suffer at these meetings?” What did I do to deserve the punishments we get in the meetings? There is nothing encouraging about these meetings. Here is the reality of what I learned. We suffer because it’s not about living comfortable and avoiding things we don’t want to deal with. If we live in comfort, we won’t rely on God’s word or his wisdom and love. This gives us reasons to read the word, be encouraged that God’s love is unconditional regardless of our feelings. This week, I woke up at 5:30 AM and read my devotions, read the word and learned a lot and feel much better about coming into the workplace that can be filled with nothing but evil spirits. This is what God wants. He wants us to be in his word, otherwise, our comfort in living we won’t rely on him. I hope you will be encouraged and be proud of your current situation as God is there for you regardless. Thank you, Jesus, for all you do in the name of Jesus, Amen!
