It’s Good Friday. There may be some people asking why to celebrate a day that Jesus died? The fact is it is a sad day that he did die, but sometimes you have to look at the context of bad situations and turn them to excellent condition. Jesus sacrifices our sins. He died for our sins.  The good in this was when he died; it is for us. The celebration, being thankful is part of Good Friday. As days go by, life starts to happen, then we turn into something completely different. We forget that Jesus is always with us when situations come crawling at us rather good or bad. Sometimes we forget to read the bible; we forget to meditate and pray. Out of sight, out of mind. That’s the purpose in our pastors, the church to remind us about Christ, to tell us of today’s verse. “You did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity.” Remember the cross, prayers, thankfulness, joy, surrendering, remember life. The cross is a symbol of life for us. I have it on my phone’s background. In each situation, we should never forget Jesus and celebrate our problems, find the good out of them. We are blessed to have a home and not stuck in them. We may have to stay in social distancing, but we should be thankful and celebrating we have homes to be in, technology to be on to see others still while we can’t see others face to face. Surrender and be thankful.

Father, thank you for today. Jesus died for us on the cross. There are so many good reasons to celebrate that instead of looking at the fact he died. Jesus is with us in spirit, that is good. Sins are wiped away because he died for us. That is another good out of the situation. Give us the wisdom to celebrate and look to you more even though our lives can give us reasons not to. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate this day. We love you. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
