Happy Easter!

April 12, 2020

Word of the day: 12 Gather the people together—men, women, children, and the foreigners living among you—so they can listen well, so they may learn to live in holy awe before God. Deuteronomy 31:12 MSG

It is the third day! Jesus rose from the dead after his crucifixion. A day worth celebrating. With all of us practicing social distancing, how are you celebrating? A lot of people are creative being at home celebrating. Happy Easter to you all, and be safe and practice social distancing.
Let’s look at today’s verse. Today would be a day that we would gather and learn about his crucifixion and the events beforehand. Since we are not converging, let’s still get together. If you have a church to get online and gather, do that. If you don’t, I invite you to join Waterline Church at 10:30 for our Easter Service on Facebook. You can type in the search box Waterline Church. Other churches are gathering online too. Take time to find one and join them. The important thing is to be online and be with others so you can learn and celebrate the crucifixion of Christ. Today’s verse says, “Gather the people together—men, women, children, and the foreigners living among you—so they can listen well, so they may learn to live in holy awe before God.” Learning about today should be every day. That’s the importance of Bible study, especially in reputations. Today is important. Just as God makes us a priority, let’s make him known today and every day.
Father, thank you for today. Thank you for allowing Jesus to make a difficult decision to crucify himself for our sins. It is a considerable sacrifice. That’s why we celebrate this day and every day. I pray we can all still gather online with little or no trouble. The devil does not like today and will do anything to destroy it. Thank you for all you do. We love you. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
