Fear with Instructions

March 18, 2020

Word of the day: 7 Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.” 8 The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing to anyone because they were too frightened. Mark 16:7-8 NLT

Here is the most significant thing about following Jesus. We should have the comfort to follow him and no doubts. Now and days, it’s not happening that way. Instead, most people are still fearful, regardless of how much instruction Jesus gave. We live in a world that does not have any hope or trust. This verse is a good example. The women in this verse were frightened and didn’t say anything to anyone. They ran for their lives. Is Jesus ahead of them? Yeah, he is ahead. Jesus knows your life better than you. He knows the plans for you. Why would Jesus not be ahead of you? Please take a moment and think if you are trustworthy of Jesus and believe he is ahead of you. We are in difficult times dealing with sickness. I encourage you to take time to see if you are okay with Jesus being ahead of you and believe that he is.
Father, thank you for your love. Thank you for being ahead of us during our stormy times and our good times. I pray for those who have doubts that we can be an example to those that should see you are ahead of us and that you know what you are doing. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
