Word of the day: 7 Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil, and oppression. Deuteronomy 26:7 NIV
Would anyone agree that listening is showing love? When you listen to your friends, family members, it is a real sign of respect. You can learn a lot about a person or a situation. You take a friend or church family member or family member’s advice because you are listening. You understand the importance of listening to that person that is sharing information or educating you. Let’s look at today’s verse. What are you doing to listen to God? Are you taking the time to read his word? Pray? Meditate? The love we have for listening to God shows our passion. We pray God is listening. That is love. We read we are comprehending his word. We meditate, we listen to God. You can tell who’s ears are open to God based on the way they live life. Challenge yourself to be a listener. It may be hard to listen, but it comes with great benefits. If God didn’t listen to us, can you imagine the disaster we be? Thank him today for always listening to us when we don’t always listen to him.
Father, thank you for our fellowship. Thank you for listening to our prayer. What would we be like if you didn’t listen to us? Even though a lot of people don’t listen to you, we are thankful that you take the time to hear each one of us. We understand your love by you listening to us. I pray we can do the same with great respect. It shows genuine appreciation. Thank you for everything. We give you praise. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
