Word of the day: 6 “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. 7 I will give it all to you if you worship me.” 8 Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ Luke 4:6-8 NLT
Satan claims the world belongs to him in these verses. Jesus set an excellent example of not arguing or debating about who the earth belongs. Jesus knew what he would do in future times to prove his point. He didn’t have to validate Satan’s response. Think about your times of approving others’ actions or you wanting to confirm your issues. Jesus doesn’t need to argue with Satan to make a point or talk so much to make a point. Instead, he let his actions speak for him. Satan wanted everyone to divert their attention from Jesus to him. For Jesus, this is a trial he had with Satan. What are your tests with Satan? Are your actions going to allow you to turn from Jesus to follow Satan? Take a moment and meditate and pray over your situation. Have a little talk with Jesus. He understands Satan and his corrupt ways. He can help you out of it if you let him.
Father, thank you for our fellowship. I pray over a corrupt angel, and his name is Satan. He has his way to divert attention from you to him. I pray we have wisdom in our freedom of choices. Let it be easy for us to say no. Thank you for your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
