Morning Time

July 2, 2020

Word of the day: 2 Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you, I pray. 3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:2-3 NIV

Discussion Board: The first thing that should happen in the morning is praying. That is the strength of your relationship with God. When we pray to God in the morning, our minds are freer to getting ready for work, getting the kids off to school, and trying to manure around different personalities throughout the day. Any relationship you have requires healthy communication. God wants that out of us with him. We can focus on him when we start the day off with him.

Deuteronomy 33:27: “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath is the everlasting arms He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!'” God is your security in life. The things you want to worship, he can take care of without idolizing money, career, and other things that withdraw you from God. When you are without God, be careful and cautious because one mistake without God can wipe you out.

Prayer: Father, I pray we can continue to use your security for all things most people idolize. As relationships build, I pray we use the same tactics to strengthen a relationship with you. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
