Word of the day: 12 “There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. John 16:12-13 NLT

Meditation: Take a moment and meditate on these two scriptures, and in our current events, what is Jesus trying to tell you?

Discussion Board: Let’s say a friend warned you about something and tried to tell you in so many ways, but you didn’t pay attention. One reason why the warning blew past you because you didn’t believe it. Or it could have been you couldn’t have thought it, something you can’t take. The Holy Spirit does that a lot to us. We do not consider the warning threatening. Sometimes, we do not understand the motive for the Holy Spirit, and that’s where practicing patience plays a significant role. Understanding the Holy Spirit can help in your situations from right and wrong. As long as you stay in the word, the Holy Spirit will remind you of what is right and what is wrong. That was Jesus’ promise to his disciples. We must be committed to the word to get the same truth and commitment from Jesus. The parables in the bible is an excellent way to remind yourself of ethical decision making.

Takeaway: We can ignore signs of right and wrongdoing by not listening. We can be the elephant in the room if we are not careful. What are your takeaways?

Prayer: Father, thank you for today. I pray for wisdom, and for us to be open to you and the Holy Spirit. Let us not be the obvious one, not listening and keeping with you. Thank you for our fellowship. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
